Depends on how much before a race. For the race day (usually on the Sunday) then it would vary. Before getting into the car they maybe meditating, getting a massage or just listing to music. When they are in the car in the garage, they would sometimes close there eyes and visualize a lap in their mind to get a mind set of how to take the first lap. As well there is the technical bits like the race bite point and driving setting i.e. brake by wire and fuel mix set up whilst they are on the grid moments before the parade lap and start of lap 1.
