April 15, 1968- 24 innings, 6 hour 6 minutes against the Houston Astros (Mets lost 1-0) (longest shutout game in MLB history)

May 31, 1964- Game one 9 innings, Game two 23 innings, total of 32 innings 9 hours 52 minutes against the San Francisco Giants (Mets lost both games 5-3 and 8-6) (longest doubleheader in MLB history) (Ed Kranepool played all 32 innings, this was the day he was called up to the team after playing in both games of a doubleheader the day before in AAA)
