If you read my comprehensive reply to 'Can anybody give some info on Zara Philips?', you will find the answer.

She was born to parents who met and fell in love through equestrianism. Her father, Captain Mark Philips, won Gold in the discipline at the 1972 Munich Olympics, and her mother, Anne, the Princess Royal, is on the committee of the IOC, and as President of the British Olympic Association carried the Olympic flame at the hand-over ceremony last month. Zara subsequently carried it on one of its relays too. That, added to the fact that the Queen, Zara's Grandmother is an excellent horsewoman (even at 86!), and that her Grandfather, Prince Philip, and her Uncle, Prince Charles, were both champion polo players, (and Prince Philip still enjoys carriage-driving, at the age of 91, although no longer competes) surely would be inspiration enough for anyone?? Although I think Zara's love of her sport goes far beyond mere 'inspiration': it's in her genes!!
