They were not sold in stores by the pack, and they were not available in hobby shops to buy. They had no collectors value. Baseball cards were traded between kids, hence the name "trading cards." A Babe Ruth card would have had a value in trade.
At The beginning of the 1920's You might have had to trade Two Babe Ruth Cards for one TY Cobb card. By the end of the 1920's You might have had an even trade or if you threw in another player's card with Ty Cobb.
