Over the years hockey teams named the Phoenix Roadrunners have played in the World Hockey Association (WHA), the International Hockey League (IHL), the Pacific Hockey League (PHL), the Central Hockey League (CHL), and the East Coast Hockey League, now known simply as the ECHL. I can't recall any other city or town having the nickname Roadrunners for their hockey team, but maybe someone else out there might know.
