∙ 13y agoThe longest match in Wimbledon history (and tennis history) started Tuesday, June 22 and ended Thursday, June 24 at Wimbledon in 2010. John Isner of the USA beat Nicolas Mahut of France, 70-68, after a record-breaking 11 hour 5 minute match. The match had to be postponed two nights when the sun went down and the players were still tied.
Previously, the longest match ever played at Wimbledon lasted five hours, 12 minutes and included 112 games in 1969.

∙ 12y agoThe one taking place now (23/06/2010) at Wimbledon between mahut and isner. Its 27-27 now. There was once a 39-37 set in a doubles match but it was before the introduction of tiebreak and it was the 3rd set.
