Actually, they weren't the Arizona Cardinals in 1898, they were the Morgan Street Normals, the team of the Morgan Street (Chicago) Athletic Club. But they went on to be known as the Morgan Street Cardinals, the Racine Cardinals, the Chicago Cardinals, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Phoenix Cardinals, and, indeed, today's Arizona Cardinals.
