1952 Dallas Texans.
The team played the 1951 season as the New York Yanks and was sold after the season to Giles Miller who relocated it to Dallas. But attendance was very low and Miller could not meet expenses. He turned the team over to the NFL after 7 games. Carroll Rosenbloom acquired the rights to the team after the 1952 season and moved it to Baltimore.
Pro football returned to Texas in 1960 with the NFL expansion team Dallas Cowboys and the AFL team Houston Oilers and Dallas Texans.
