It was the "Immaculate Reception", that took place in Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA on December 23, 1972. The Steelers hosted the AFC Divisional playoff game against the Oakland Raiders. Halfback Frenchy Fuqua tried to make a catch on a Terry Bradshaw pass and collided with Raider safety Jack Tatum. Steeler running back Franco Harris caught the deflected football just before it hit the ground and ran it in for the winning touchdown.
