I believe the term you're looking for is "sloop."
the J dimension of a sailboat is the length from the forestay attachment on the deck to the mast.for sizing a headsail (jib/genoa) a 100% jib would have an LP (or approximately foot) of J, a #1 jib would have a 155% the length of J.
That is extremely simple. Think about it next time if 1ft = 3cm then 18ft = 3cm x 18 which then equals 54cm so the main mast on the model sail boat will be 54cm

One way is to use an electricians snake, can be bought at home depot I think they run about $20, It's a long flat steel wire on a reel that you can feed through the mast . then hook your wire on it and pull it through. I had once used 10 foot 1/2" PVC pipes glued together and slid inside the mast with all wires protected inside the pipe. I assume you are talking about an aluminum mast? If it's wood you may be out of luck. hope this helps

6 inches is 1/2 foot, so (1/2 ft) / (30 ft) = 1/60, or it may be designated as 1:60 scale.
Generally, 1-3 knots slower than the available wind.
As a sloop: 1 mast, 1 mains'l, 1 jibs'l. Center- or daggerboard would be okay.
