A lot of the sports around now were around back then. These sports include Football, Hockey, Tennis and Soccer. Baseball was said to be a t its peak back in the 1960's.
The same sports played in 1960 are played today. Although 50 years seems like a long time ago, it's really not (sports-wise).
In the 1960s entertainment was huge. Sports, movies, Broadway, television, and music were all ways people entertained themselves. The entertainment personalities in the 1960s worked hard so they could be the subjects of peoples conversations even many years after they have died.
Childrens' games of the 1960s are, for the most part, the same as those played today with the exception of electronic gaming, which did not become commercially viable until roughly the 1970s. Additionally, few new major athletic sports have developed since the 1960s.
