Motor sports are strong in Northern Ireland for example. Hurling is not so strong. It is strongest in the geographical south of Ireland, meaning the northern parts of the Republic of Ireland are not particularly strong in Hurling, not just Northern Ireland. There are a few small parts of Northern Ireland where Hurling is stronger, though still not as strong as the parts of Ireland where Hurling is strong.
