As you know, this job takes many risks, but in the end is VERY rewarding. If you want this job just to meet professional athletes and make a lot of money, you're in the wrong place. The main reason of this job is to help the athlete you represent. First of all, you'll need to major in sports management at a good college, and possibly get your MBA (Masters in Business Administration). Some colleges I recommend are USC, UMiami, UMass, Ithaca College, and Ohio U, just to name a few. While in college, you'll want to start going to the sports games (whichever sport you want to focus in), and start building contacts and ask if they need an agent, so come draft day and a Baseball player from UMiami, for example, is the first draft pick in the MLB Draft, and you're his agent, then you could be making millions once he's out of the minors and then other players will want to have you as their agent also. Then once you have enough money, start your own agency, hire some other agents to help you with your work, add a Starbucks in the lobby, and live life the way it should be lived. Have fun, but don't be too cocky.
