Dont go nuts like some moms, it gets weird and some kids get chirped for it. Support your child if he/she wants to go somewhere with hockey. Dont buy your child gear, have them pick it out but be prepared to dish out a fair amount of money, its not a cheap game (i spent around $900 on sticks this year). Attend all the games so your child feels supported. And make sure your child eats healthy and exercises outside of hockey but still does their best in school and hopefully they can take the game they love to the next level.
