A round circle trampoline, because you can jump freely end-to-end. An oval is just disgusting, since you can barely do your flips. And rectangle you can't go end-to-end, you have to leave a space because it's a rectangle, and you can only go horizontal and vertical, not diagonal, like a circle. Hope this helps. Actually, in a new sport called T and T (tumbling and trampoline), you can choose which apparatus you want, including the tumbling part, out of the 3 apparatusses. They are Double mini trampoline, floor and tampoline.

When you practice tumbling you should always have a coach around to spot. To practice you need mats, and tumble track or trampoline, and a certified AACCA coach or spotter.

Gymnastics teaches you everything,parellel bars,balence beam and such, where tumbling focuses more on flips, and stunts. yes that is what it is. i take tumbling lessons and it is just floor exercises tumbling is more power tumbling and also includes double mini and trampoline
a gymnastic trampoline is used for a number of things for example it can be used for backhand springs. trampolines are also used for balance for example when u are tumbling ( on floors ) and you are doing lets say a backhand spring you need balance when you jump that's how a trampoline can be used.
