Wear a gum guard & shin guards.

If in the scrum, wear a scrum cap. Wear safety studs.

Wear shoulder pads (more of a personal preference).

Tackle with the shoulders, ensuring your head is to the side of the player.

Tackle below the neck of your opponent.

Warm up before playing, and warm down afterwards.

Stay vigilant and aware of people/dangers around you!
