Golf professionals use clubs from a variety of manufacturers and are each tailored to each individual to suit their specific individual body type and swing.

There is an awful lot to be gained by having a correctly fitted set of clubs, something all pros but not all amateur golfers take advantage of.

Most Pros will then select 13 clubs from a pool for possibly 18 clubs (Golfers may only carry 14 clubs, and virtually all serious players will carry a putter!) specifically for the course they are playing on that particular day. They select the clubs that will provide the best combination of clubs taking into consideration trajectory, carry, overall distance, spin rate, feel at impact, course setup and hazards, but it's essentially the clubs they think that will enable them to shoot the lowest score possible for that round!

List of clubs modern pros (incl. women) typically use;

Driver (1W) 2-Wood 3-Wood 4-Wood 5-Wood 7-Wood

2- Hybrid 3-Hybrid 4-Hybrid 5-Hybrid

2-iron 3-iron 4-iron 5-iron 6-iron 7-iron 8-iron 9-iron

Pitching Wedge Attack Wedge Gap Wedge Sand Wedge Lob Wedge High Lob Wedge

Putter

Not all clubface lofts are universal between clubs marked the same. The lofts vary between individual clubs and manufacturers. ie - XYZ PW has 46 degrees of loft whilst ABC PW has 48 degrees.

Golf pride multi-compound is probably the most popular, these are the ones with a coloured bottom- red, yellow, white, blue, green, pink, orange and baby blue- with a black top which is cord.

Tiger Woods uses golf pride full cord. Cord grips are very popular with pros.

Lamkin crossline is also very popular.

Winn grips are popular, but mainly on the Ladies and Seniors tour.

Most clubs on the market come with a grip that the company has had made, i.e Nike, Taylormade, Callaway and Titleist, but most pros use one grip on all their clubs so would have these changed immediately.

Professional golfers use whatever clubs they want, some of the newer pros use whatever club manufacturer they are signed with. The brands are mainly Taylormade, Titleist, Ping, Callaway, Wilson. Just because a pro has a manufacturer on the bag, doesn't mean they have the clubs in the bag.

The majority of pro golfers simply use long wooden white tees. Some like Kenny Perry use the zero friction tees.

They use the very back tees, the are usually tees not available to the general public in general play. On some courses it would be the blues, others the blacks and others the whites.
