Williams managed the team in Washington through the 1971 season. He moved with the team when it relocated to the Southwest and became the Texas Rangers. His final season as manager was in 1972. Williams' overall managerial record was 273-364. His best year was the 1969 season, when the Senators posted an 86-and-76 record.
