Heavy ones. The only way your muscles grow is by overloading them and forcing them to break down. Barbells and to a lesser extent, dumbbells, are the best to use.

I would look for a simple protein complex. BE CAREFUL of what you take since some things are very harmful. It would probably be advisable to visit a trainer of some kind to make sure you're ready to "bulk up." It can be harmful to weight lift before your body has reached a certain stage.
