Malta
The site of the Apostle Paul's shipwreck is traditionally believed to be the island of Malta. The book of Acts in the Bible recounts the event and describes how Paul and the other passengers on board were shipwrecked on the island, where they received hospitality from the locals.
On February 10 Malta celebrates the Feast of St. Paul's Shipwreck.
Luke gives the account of Paul's shipwreck (in vivid detail) in Acts chapter 27.
A:According to Acts of the Apostles (27:1-28:14), Paul was shipwrecked on the way to Rome. Against this, some scholars dismiss this account of Paul's hazardous sea journey as novelistic fiction written by the author of Acts.
