The way to swing a racket in tennis is called a forehand.
Your grip.
There are two sides to the stringing pattern within the head of a tennis racket. The side of the stringing pattern which is used to strike the tennis ball is called the racket face. An easy way to remember this is to think of the racket "face" as having eyes. Eyes are a normal part of a face. The eyes of the racket face must see the approaching tennis ball, just prior to string-to-ball contact. I always use a black permanent marker pen to draw a face with eyes, nose, and a mouth on my teaching tennis racket.

une raquette de tennis (by the way, it's racquet in English)
Racquet is another spelling for racket, when you are using it to refer to the implement used to strike the ball or shuttlecock in games like tennis or badminton.
The sport tennis is a sport which is played across the world. Where you strike a ball with a tennis racket. And then ball has to get past the net and the other player does the same. The way you win is if the player misses, hits the ball out.
In order to smack the shuttlecock one must move. Badminton is like tennis on a harder ground. The way you use the racket is bit different from tennis, but it has the same idea.
There are three parts of a tennis racquet. The part that you hold is the "grip". Above the grip is the "neck". Someone who holds their tennis racket by the neck is said to be "choking" their racquet; this is not the correct way to play. The part that you hit the ball with (and the largest part of the racquet) is called the "head". The part makes up the head is the "rim". As for a badminton racquet, I would assume that it's very similar.
Same way you can find out who owns any other thing you can think of, such as a tennis racket or a fishing rod - ask them about it or see them with it.
Well, truthfully, it all depends on the way you hold your racket, but usually you would side step up to the ball, step into and hit it with your racket from low to high, and then finish with a recovery step on your dominant foot.
There's only one way stepping inside the tennis court before you actually hit the serve, but it only happens if you are in your swing and step in.
By swinging 'through' the ball, letting the racket stop only when it's above your shoulder (instead of only hitting at the ball) you give the ball much more speed. Besides, finishing that swing gives you much more control over its direction. Same thing with golf, by the way.
