You might have what is referred to as a World Series "Black Bat." You did not include the player that "used the bat" or the team that signed it. These Bats were given to participating players, and dignitaries from teams in the world series. They have facsimile signatures of the entire team in gold on a dark black ebony bat. Names in script for Hillerich & Bradsby endorsees and block letter for non endorsed players.

"Black Bats" are highly sought after in excellent to near mint condition. Any grade lower will devalue the price considerably. If your bat is used it will be devalued. The bats would read either World Series Champions (for the winner of the series), or National League, American League Champions for the loosing team. Both the 1954 New York Giants, and the Cleveland Indians black bats are worth about $600.-$800. in excellent -near/mint condition. If your bat is in fact a "Game Used" bat used in the 1954 World Series signed by either team I would need to know the player that used the bat, and the team that signed the bat. Provenancewould be needed to verify that the bat was game used otherwise the value will be based on the value of the signatures on a used bat. The term 'Game Used " is a piece of equipment that has been used by a professional player of note during a game such as a baseball bat or glove. A piece of equipment used in a professional game such as a "game used" base. For example a bat used by a professional baseball player like Mickey Mantle is "Game Used" A bat that was used in a little league game is a used bat not a "Game used" bat. Provenance is the history of ownership of a particular item. It allows the buyer to secure additional insight as to the origin or chain of custody of the item. How much is a 1954 Tom Losorda Tops autographed baseball card worth?

Tommy Lasorda Signed Baseball CardA Tommy Lasorda autographed baseball card is worth between $20. -$30. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. In general, collectors of baseball cards would rather have a baseball card without the signature. The signature would be considered as a flaw in the condition of the card and will lower the value. If the signature has a lower value than the card it will lower the value of the card. The un-signed card will have a higher value. The 1954 Topps Tommy Lasorda Rookie card number 132 has a book value of about $250.00 in Near Mint-Mint condition and $65.00 - $125.00 in Very Good condition - Excellent condition. Because the card is signed it could not be graded as Near Mint - Mint and would be closer in value to the $65.00 "Very Good" value.
