The mis-cut card will have a lower collectors value. This type of error is common, and not desired by most. There are collectors that collect error cards, and Nolan Ryan is a plus.

There are different variations of errors on Baseball cards. Some more desirable than others. Errors such as mistakes made on information on the card will only be worth more money if the mistake was corrected, and the card that was printed in the fewest quantity is worth the most. Not necessary the card with the error.

Other errors are made during the printing process. "Flopped" negative image, Wrong back, Blank back, printed half off center combined with another player to name a few examples. There are a descent amount of collectors that collect these type of errors but not enough to skyrocket the price. (in most cases)

I believe that any cards with errors, wrong information, miscuts etc. would have greater value. These type of errors are usually less in quantity than ones that are perfect. Even monetary bill are worth more with errors, miscuts, printing etc.

Miscuts are usually discovered before packaging and thrown away, so they should have more value, because they are definitely lower in quantity than those that are cut perfect. The least amount of a given item, makes that item rarer, than items of larger quantity. This only makes sense. The rarer an item more the valuable it should be.

If you have a card that was only printed 1000 cards of this design, this would make this card rare. Now take this same card and find a miscut of this card, this miscut would be even more rare than the other 999 that were not miscut. This in essence would have to increase its value as well.
