A June 15, 1953 Times Magazine with Mickey Mantle on the cover is worth about $30.-$40. in excellent - Near/Mint condition without a mailing label. Condition is very important. Flaws such as mailing label, creases, rips, loose pages or stains will bring the price down significantly. A magazine in mint condition could sell at a higher price.

This week on eBay a 1953 Times Magazine with Mickey Mantle on the cover sold for $15.06. with the following flaws: surface wear to the cover, a few small tears mostly at the edges and corners. Some residue from a removed mailing label remains.

What is the value of the Christy Mathewson Big Six indoor baseball game you believe is an actual signature by him on the back of the cover?

The Christy Mathewson's "Big Six" Indoor Baseball game is worth about $750. - $1,2500. in excellent - near/mint condition. Christy Mathewson signatures are rare and highly sought after. On average a Christy Mathewson signature can sell between $8,000.-$12,000. Not too many signed baseballs found, and most of the auction I viewed were for signed books selling as high as $26,000. A cut signature could sell in the $2,000. -$3,000. range. Because the signature is on the back it would be valued as a cut signature. If it were on the cover, it would make a better display, and raise the value. The condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature will be a factor on value. If the signature is not properly authenticated it could sell at half the market value or less. The signature, and the game have a higher value if sold separately. Problem is, the signature is on the back of the cover and cannot be displayed at the same time. This will lower the value of the signature, or the game significantly. As it is the game with the signature on the back of the cover, it might sell slightly higher than the unsigned game or the value of the signature, and not the full value of the game, and the signature added together. I'm not familiar with the back of the cover. It is possible that the signature is a facsimile, and is part of the printing on the game.

If you would like to be for the cover of American Girl Magazine, the auditions are held in Los Angeles, California every one to two months. Only three girls are chosen out of the large number that try out, but one girl will be on the actual cover. The others will have a more likely chance of being shown on the inside. But, if you go to the American Girls Store in Chicago, you can get your picture taken with your doll and it will be put on a magazine for you to keep but will not actually be published.
