The three main factors in appraising this popular mid-40's Babe Ruth "Homerun King" clock are condition, condition, and condition! Nice clean examples in working order, with no significant problems or alterations, are easily worth $400-600. Pristine examples in their original packaging are worth twice this amount. A scarce (and less attractive) version of this clock which includes a radio is known to exist and sells for about $200 more.

Will walnut trees grow in New Hampshire?

Yes walnut trees will grow in New Hampshire. I presently have about 10 black walnut trees and the hundreds and hundreds of walnuts with green husks around them are evidence of this. My trees range in age from about 40 years plus for a couple to 20 years for the rest. I have had many people question and doubt that my trees are actually walnut trees until they see them. I have owned my home on the Seacoast of New Hampshire for over 12 years and this is the first year I actually plan on harvesting any of them. Hope this helps.

Who owned the first clock in history?

Who owned the first clock has not been noted, so we don't know. Clocks have been around a long time. setting aside sundials (which people used back into prehistory to tell the time of day), clock mechanisms driven by water were known to exist in Egypt back to the 1500s BCE, and there is some evidence of water clocks existing in India and China as far back as 4000 BCE. Spring driven clocks were not invented until the 17th or 18th century in Europe, and (of course) the electric clock came into existence in the mid-20th century.

When you got in the car to test drive it the clock was not set right makes you fell like some engine work was done?

There are many reason why the clock may have been set wrong. They may have replaced the battery. They may have replaced fuses. They may have done work that required the battery to be disconnected. Whoever owned the car may not have known how to set the clock. Etc....
