This is a very unique item. It's value depends on what someone is willing to pay for it. Your best bet would be to go to your local memorabilia shop or Baseball card show and speak with some experts.
Also, you could put it up for sale on Ebay with a very high price, one that you would be willing to sell it for, then ask for best offers. If an offer comes in that you like, you could sell it.
If you are not interested in selling it, you have one awesome yearbook!
There are many places that one can view yearbook pictures from years gone by. Some of the places where one can view yearbook pictures are Classmates, Memory Book, and E-Yearbook.

Ask them nicely.
It depends on how your club is run. At my school everyone was given a page to design for the yearbook, and then it was approved by the editors. So, in that case everyone was able to take pictures. We also encouraged our staff to take lots of candid photos because those really add to the yearbook. I'd talk to the yearbook advisor or the editors and they could give you a bit more information. However, if you express early on that you want to take pictures, I'm sure you will be given the opportunity to do so.
spend all morning getting ready!
Yes, you are looking back at peoples pictures from the past.
