Batting team: Score the most runs(points) by hitting the ball into play and running between creases(ends of the pitch). Bonus scores are earned by hitting the ball over the boundary line. 4 runs for rolling/bouncing over, 6 runs runs for going over without touching the ground.

Fielding Team: Getting batters out. A wicket (out) can be done by Bowling the ball to the batter and the bails on the wickets are knocked off (either by hitting the wickets with the ball or the batter stupidly hits his own wickets). Other ways of getting a wicket are catching the ball once the batter has hit it and hitting the wickets while the batter is running between creases. If the fielding team gets 10 wickets the innings is over and the teams swap roles

If there is still batters remain play continues until the maximum number of overs has been met.

An over is made up of 6 bowls (pitches). Depending on the game type there can be different amounts of overs

Hope it helps
