What is the highest score Galaxians?

I attended Illinois State University back in the 1980's. I was an addict of Galaxian back in 82/83. The console I played was located at "Garcia's" restaurant located next to Waterson Towers (dorm). I played this game every day for two years while attending. I don't remember the exact date, but on one occasian I scored over 749,000 over a 4 1/2 hour period on one quarter (the amount it cost to play one game). At least 15 to 20 people watched this (as I recall) when I finished. I am currently 47 years old and the only reason I'm recording this is because one night (tonight) I decided to do a Google search to see what information I could find out about Galaxian and noticed some of the records posted. I wanted to share my experience and note this score for the record. I don't have any confirmed evidence other than this story.
