The Galloping Gobbler award is given to the Most Value Player of FOX's Thanksgiving Day Game. The Award started in 2002 as a replacement for John Madden's Turkey Leg award, which was discontinued when Madden Left FOX for ABC. The Award was originally a silver, Robotic Turkey, Equiped with a NFL on Fox helmet, and carrying a football in one hand and a stiff arm extended. The Award was updated in 2007 featuring a more rustic color, and a new, more realistic turkey, perched up against a small football on a platform.
