There are no fines for baseball players throwing a ball into the stands. Baseball teams don't like to accept players with too many fines on their record. Baseball is still a professional organization and those kinds of players reflect on the ball club they play for.
The Commisioner of Baseball can impose a fine for conduct deterimental to the game. Players have been throwing helmets out of anger for decades with no fine that I can think of. However, if a player did so while aiming at another player, a fan, or an umpire; I'm sure that would draw a fine and/or suspension.
Players are typically fined around $10,000 dollars for doing this based on what the NFL calls "safety violations" due to fans fighting over or jumping to try and retrieve the balls.
