An ambiguous question. Posts of the same goal or posts from opposite goals?
In American football, the length of the field including the end zones is 360 feet (120 yards). The goal posts are located at the back of each end zone, so the distance from one goal post to the other is 360 feet. Each end zone is 10 yards (30 feet) deep, but this depth does not affect the length measurement between the goal posts. Therefore, the total distance from goal post to goal post is 360 feet.
The distance between the goal posts is officially 7 yards; so that is 21 feet. In metric that is 6.4 metres. The width of the goal posts themselves is not official, so this might vary; but the rule states that at lest the bottom 2 metres of each post must be padded as protection. In some grounds, the base of the posts can be even 8 or 9 inches thick due to the padding.
6.4 Metres.
110 yards.
In hockey, the distance from the goal post to the blue line is typically 11 feet (3.33 meters). However, if you're referring to the distance from the goal line to the "D" area (the crease), it is approximately 4 feet (1.22 meters) from the goal line to the outer edge of the crease. The crease itself extends about 6 feet (1.83 meters) in front of the goal line.
