A crf150f is a basic trail bike not suited for Motocross and for younger riders around 11 years of age depending upon height. A crf150r is a mx race bike with suspension and motor suited to race. The rb is the big wheel version of the bike.
To further explain the previous answer it goes a little deeper than one is a motocross be and one is a trail bike. The biggest difference is the f is air cooled and the r is water cooled. The f makes about 11 hp the r makes 22 hp. The r requires much more maintenence piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips every 6 races. Oil changes every few hours with valve lash inspection after each. So to sum it all up it boils down purpose. If you are going to ride in the back yard definatly go with the f. If the track is in your futurethan the r is the way to go. The r is also not a beginner bike so if new to bikes go with the f.
