The long shaft is used in men's Lacrosse, the defenders use the long shaft so that they can have an easy reach to an on coming opposing player. they use the shaft to check the opponent and cause them to drop the ball. The short shaft is used in men's and women's lacrosse, the short shaft is used for all the other positions, much easier to control
an experienced player can rotate a short stick to more velocity on a shot. while in the middle school leagues, generally the bigger kids have long poles so they bring the long pole down faster and that's faster than, usually, everyone on the team. So i say varsity level and up= normally short stick. JV and below= normally long stick. it all depends on the player though. and the person who practices shooting the most are the short sticks so they have the faster shot.
Light. Lighter stick equals faster hand speed for shooting for the most part.
Lacrosse uses geometry when shooting and passing. Having the right angle on the stick will help control the ball and the where it goes.
40 inches long for a short stick including the head
as short as you can but dont hit his/her hand
A quick Stick shot
mesh, the shooting string and other strings to string ur stick
No. It just makes your shot more accurate. Or it also helps if you want some whip on your stick.
My favourite sport, Lacrosse
The two strings in the middle are the shooting strings and the ones on the outside help control the ball when cradling.
Here is a lacrosse stick charm- http://www.charmfactory.com/lacrosse-stick-charm.htm
Replace the mesh, shooting strings, sidewall strings, dye the head.
It guides the ball out of the center of the head so you have better accuracy
