What is the difference between a fishboard and a shortboard?

fish shortbaords are shorter but not alot, when i mean fish i mean the retro 2 fin wide round nosed fish tail one's they tend to be 5'6''-6'0'', then the shortboard also what i mean by short is high performance triple fin or thruster pointed nosed better materials, bigger cost more stream line and stuff just the performance side, but then they aren't as strong as fish boards as they are fatter, fish boards work better on smaller waves. It's just the style of Surfing which is different.
