Nate is just a quarter back for his team, who has a shot to win 1 million dollars for a pass through a hole from 30 yards away. his parents are in a financial slump and need the money badly. his best friend, Abby, is going blind from a disease which shouldn't kick in until she is fully and adult. Nate gets to the field and realizes that his parents want him to go not just for the money, also because its a once in a lifetime chance. he does end up making the throw and winning the money
