Did Dale Earnhardt Sr. ever wreck Dale Earnhardt Jr.?
He is almost guaranteed to crash again at some point. That is a part of auto racing that will not change. Whether it is his fault or not.
If Dale Earnhardt Sr were still alive do you think Dale Jr's performance would be better?
I believe it would have been better. I think Dale Sr. was the only person who could speak to Junior the way he should be spoken to. That's with authority. I also believe Dale Sr. would have stopped the friction that formed between Dale Jr. and Theresa Earnhardt. Junior would still be driving for his father at DEI, carrying on the family name and running well. Being the team owner, his father would have seen to that.
Why is Dale Earnhardt Jr. so dumb?
Dale Jr. is far from being dumb. Being a NASCAR driver, you have to have some good education to do this job. He has a southern slow way about him that may seem like he is slow. The interviews do reflect that.

I would say Junior thinks the same way as the other drivers, he will race until he is no longer competitive and no longer has any fun.

Dale Sr. was and always wanted to be a race car driver. At the time of his death he was still very competitive. If Dale Sr. eventually reached retirement, he probably would have spent most of his time with his racing team (DEI) and paving the way for his son, Dale Jr. to try to follow in his footsteps. He then was penalized for speeding on pit road, which put him back into the 26th position. After a few cautions and tire changes, Junior ended up with a 7th place finish. The finish moved him from 13th to 8th in the points standings.
