I depends on your viewpoint, but the best basic breaking pitch is the "breaking ball" or curveball, but if you're looking to go fancy you can try the pitch made famous by Daisuke Matsuzaka the gyro ball. But if that's too fancy you can try the old knuckle ball.
The pitch that made Mariano Rivera famous is the sharp breaking, cut fastball. It is known as a cutter.
A curveball falls under the general category of "breaking ball". A "breaking ball" refers to any pitch that is thrown with movement (i.e. a curveball, slider, sinker, etc.").
The fastball. Its many varieties and easy control (as compared to a curveball or other breaking balls) make it a commonly used pitch.
your best pitch. Mine is fastball low and away, but yours is probably different

Croatia has always had the best pitch in Whyalla.
a breaking ball is simply any pitch that curves, dips, dives, moves or does anything but go in a straight line. Curveballs, sliders, sinkers, slurves, screwballs and gyroballs are all examples of breaking balls. Note that changeups do not count as breaking balls, because their purpose is not to confuse the batter with a change in direction, but rather a change in speed. Knuckleballs are sort of a combination of offspeed and breaking balls, and I'm not sure what an eephus pitch is.
