Each position is very important on the field. The short stop is most important because most balls are hit toward them so that position should contain the most intelligent and best player. All the players should be able to catch, throw, and all the other obvious ways just in case the ball is hit to them. There is any chance the ball will go everywhere so make sure you have good players in all positions at all times.

This really depends on who the players is --- in most cases, the highest salary player will be a corner infielder.. either 1B or 3B as they are quality defensive players and generally speaking your power players --- however there has been a shift lately to where you can play any position as long as you have great hitting numbers, you will get paid the big bucks -----tigersy2k3

In poker, the different table positions are early position, middle position, and late position. Early position players have to act first and have less information about other players' hands. Middle position players have some information but still need to be cautious. Late position players have the most information and can make more strategic decisions. Table position affects gameplay by influencing when players need to act, the amount of information they have, and the types of hands they can play effectively.
UCLA has produced the most NBA players and Duke is a close second. UCLA has 17 players in the NBA and Duke has 15.
In the MLB there are 25 players on a team. If you want to make it as realistic as possible you should that. But if you like a challenge you could do a 40 man roster. Another problem is that you need to know how many players you need per position. If you decided to do a 25 man roster I recommend one catcher, 2 first basemen (because that is the most plentiful position in all of baseball), 1 second basemen, 1 shortstop, 1 first base/third base, 5 outfielders, 3 bench players (either batter or pitcher), and 11 pitchers. For a 40 man roster i recommend 2 catchers, 3 first basemen, 2 second basemen, 2 shortstops, 1 second base/shortstop, 1 third base/first base, 7 outfielders, 6 bench players, and 16 pitchers
