Pole Vaulting is a sport where one runs down a runway with a fiberglass or carbon fiber pole, sticks it in the "box" at the end of the runway, and "vaults" himself into the air using upper body strength and their abdomonals. They try to get over a specific height and have 3 tries to get over the height before they are out.
