Over his 15 season career, Mike Piazza played with 5 teams; Los Angeles Dodgers (1992-1998), Florida Marlins (1998), New York Mets (1998-2005), San Diego Padres (2006) and Oakland Athletics (2007). The only two teams that could even be a thought in this question would be the Mets or Dodgers. In fact Piazza was only on the Marlins for a week, the Padres for about 9 months and the Athletics for roughly 6 months. To really drive home the difference between the Mets and the Dodgers I have three pieces of evidence. First, while receiving an award Piazza said that if he was to be inducted into the Hall of Fame he'd want to be put in as a Mets. Second, while managing the USA team in the 2011 futures game he was wearing a Mets cap. And finally, on October 2 2005 (Piazza last game with the Mets) while Piazza was being pulled in the eighth inning of the known last game of this Mets legend, the crowd of both teams fans rose to their feet to give a standing ovation that delayed the game for nearly 10 minutes.
