the best time to press is when ur up by at least five points or you are a faster. never when you are a slower team
Full Court Press is a basketball term for a defensive style in which the defense applies man to man or zone defense to pressure the offensive team the entire length of the court before and after the inbound pass.Defenses not employing a full court press generally allow the offensive team to get halfway down the court (a half court press) or near the basket before applying strong defensive pressure.*Hope this helps*

A girl that was allowed to play full court, both offense and defense
a full court press is where your team makes a shot, then stay on the opponents side of the court and try to stop them from advancing passed half court. if you hold them on their side of the court for 8 seconds, that's a foul on the other team, called the 8 second violation.

When a team presses, the offensive team tends to get angsty and make more turnovers, allowing the team that is pressing to get the ball and score.

Quick passes. Offensive players without the ball must find open areas and the player with the ball must have the awareness to find them quickly. Once a player with the ball holds it or starts to dribble, the defense can collapse and double or triple team. Quick passing will break a full court press easily.
Different team run it at different times. Some teams run it after they've made a freethrow, some run it at different times to pressure the opposing team, particularly if they have a poor ball handler. Most teams will run a full court press if they're down by a few points late in the game.

There are many different variations of defenses in basketball, but most derive from the basic man defense or zone defense. During man defense every person on a team is responsible for guarding a specific member of the opposing team. During zone a player is assigned an area of the floor to cover and guards whatever player of the opposing team that enters that area. Many times these vary between half court and full court as well where the defenses are either played against the offense on the entire court or just restricted to the half of the court that the offensive team's basket is on.
