Freestyle breastroke backstroke and butterfly
4 people in the team do a certain distance of either backstroke, breastroke, butterfly or freestyle (in that order)
i swim a fair bit. an average swimmer will swim 50 metres in about 1 and a half minutes breastroke. maybe 10 seconds faster if front crawl
I don't know but I swim and my coach is all ways telling us to get our butt up inbutterfly and in backstroke you lay on your back and in breastroke your chest comes out of the water and on freestyle it is legal to swim any stroke you want to.I'm not sure if this is these are the reasons for the names but it sure is a coincidence.
characteristic of breastroke
There are many different ways to swim. There are four main strokes - these are front crawl, backstorke, breastroke and butterfly. Some are easier than others. When you get to a high standard in swimming there are many different techniques used in these strokes. if you would like to see some of the best, search on youtube for a stroke that you like and have a look at some of the videos from the Olympics. These will show you the fastest ones and the ways to swim them.

Backstroke, Breastroke, Butterfly and Freestyle
I personally don't think 14 is too old. However, you should be able to swim all four strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breastroke, and freestyle) legally. If you are not very good, I would suggest joining a summer recreational league, not a year-round one.
