A tricky short putt could be anything from 3-6 feet which you would probably expect to make, however, it may be a sharp breaking putt where you need to play the break outside the hole, or it may be severely down hill where you need to decide to play for line or pace. You'll probably be very annoyed to miss a short putt, no matter how tricky.
