No single person can be credited with 'inventing' the bullfight. It gradually evolved over the centuries. Francisco Romero is generally considered the father of the modern bullfight. He was the first to fight a bull on foot in 1726.
There are many important participants in a bullfight but the main ones are the matador and the bull. Without either of these there could be no bullfight.
The matador, the torero who kills the bull, is the star of the bullfight.
A person who performs leaps and somersaults is commonly referred to as a gymnast or an acrobat.
