Children can be taught to swim at any age, even as infants. When children are born, they are basically aquatic creatures, and they can be taught to float and hold their breath almost immediately by a careful, patient teacher who know what he or she is doing. Google "teach your baby to swim" and you will find a wealth of material.
When children are older they have usually acquired some fear of the water that they must lovercome when learning to swim.
Yes, many people teach their children to swim at age 2 or even younger. Because children this young are usually less fearful than older children it is often beneficial to teach them at this age. Check with your local YMCA or gym to see if they offer swim classes for your daughter's age group. I teach swim lessons and we can start as young as 2 for privates or 6 months for groups. www.allstrokesbyheatherfechtig.com
Yes. Even though It may choke it seems like a good idea. It is a good idea to get all of these hard life leasons done at an early age. Otherwise it can be very difficult to teach to your child to swim in this case. Do not feel worried about the baby as it will learn to swim by it self. Learn to cheris these moments. Else you will regret it for holding your child back from it's true capabilitys. It is like riding a bike, You never know you are good at it till you try it.
Well I learned at the age of 5, but the younger the better.
Why would you want to torture the poor thing!
Yes, if the child is very intelligent and very wise, age has no intelligence limits.
as soon as you feel they are mature and ready to understand the game
what is my child's age procession
It depends the age but for a young child you can pint at them and say no. Act disappointed. Shake your head no.
No one should ever swim alone no matter the age. Always have a swim buddy ... always!!
Yes, because it will make it a whole lot easier for them, for example, to save someone, or if they fall into a body of water, for them to swim to safety. So, yes, but start with things like pyjamas, which are generally, fairly loose. I would reccomend them to start this at 8 to 10 years of age.
There is no set age limit. This is best decided by the Parent and child. If an educated parent feels it is the right time for the child to learn good safety gun handling then I encourage that they take the time to teach or have someone teach the child how to handle the BB gun. It's all about education and safety. The age that I think is right for a child to have a BB gun is 10, because they would have seen enough gun accidents so they will know (hopefully) what not to do and what to do.Depends on your parents and the police.
my son is 15 months old and swims on his own with arm bands ...much to our Amazement!
