a fly girl also known as a flyer or top is a girl who is the one who is the top during the stunt and the one who is being tossed and doing all the flip with being lifter in the air.

Yes a flyer is the girl who is also more flexible. The flyer on elite teams or on most school teams has to be able to do a heel stretch, (grabbing your heel and pulling it up like side splits) aerobesque, (holding your leg out behing you and trying to get it as high as possible while keeping a straight back and without holding your leg) a scorpion, (grabbing the outside of your foot and pulling it behind you and over your haed to make a teardrop shape) scale, (grabbing your shin and pulling it up as hig as possible behind you) and liberty (which is standing on one leg and placing your foot by your knee like a flamingo) Flyers have to have extremly flexible backs. A fly girl in Cheerleading is the person on top of all of the stunts {the things we do when we lift girls} the fly girl is the one that does a lot of the work of staying tight and sticking whatever you are trying to put up.
