There is no "air", because the moon is in the vaccuum of space. Therefore, the ball encounters no air resistance. Also, because the moon's gravity is approximately 1/6 of that seen on Earth, the flight of a lightly struck Golf ball on the moon could very well go as far as Tiger's best.

It goes a long way! In most cases there is not any atmospheric friction to slow the ball down. Unless being affected by the gravity if nearby planets, or hitting another object, it will continue in a straight line forever.
