∙ 12y agoThe yellow card is a warning. The red card means that you are ejected from the game, and your team has to play short for the rest of the game, also in most completions a red card will also prevent you from participating in the next match.
The second yellow card in the same game will automatically give you a red card.

∙ 12y agoA red card is given for a severe breach of rules. This results in the player being dismissed from the game and usually a ban from the next match. A yellow is given for a moderate breach of rules and can be given to a player twice during a match. The first yellow acts as a warning while a second yellow card during the same match, results in an instant dismissal from the pitch and a ban from a subsequent game. If a player receives a yellow in one game and another yellow in the next game, this also results in a 1 match suspension. Rarely has a player been given a yellow card followed by a red as two yellow cards ensure the same outcome. However, there is room for human error as both cards are usually kept in the same pocket.

In football(British word for soccer) a red card means you get sent off for the rest of the game! So if you get a red card at minute 2 then you cant come on for the rest of the game. The same happens if you get 2 yellow cards.
If a football;/soccer player is given the red card he is sent off and is not allowed to play in the rest of the game. This usually happens when he has fouled - I'm not sure if fouled is a word- sorry. for instance if he trips a player up. the referee will show a yellow/ red card- yellow is just a warning. hope this helps
A Yellow card is a sin-bin offense where the player is sent to the touchline for a period of ten minutes normally. The red card is immediate sending off. The player leaves the field of play and must not stand on the touch line. There is no return to play for this person and following a red card offense this usually means a time ban period for the player concerned where they will not be allowed to play. The first shown yellow card means that the player will get 10 minutes in the "sin bin" off the field of play. The second time a yellow card is shown to the same player will force a red card to also be shown. The player must leave the field of play and may also be banned from playing in a number of matches based on the reason. For a dangerous type of play i.e. gouging, spear tackling, strainght arm tackling or stamping this is a red immediately and the player is sent off with a citing to be banned for a period of time.
