Indoor volleyball... Yes. The player who received the red card must sit in one of the penalty chairs behind the scorer and will take no further part in the set and does not incur a point penalty. The team will have to make a substitution to replace this player on court and if there is no one available then the team is declared incomplete and forfeits the set.

Beach volleyball... No. A red card is only a point penalty so the player remains on the court, and there are no substitutions in beach.

Why play with 10 players on a soccer field?

You're not "supposed" to play with 10 players. However, if someone gets injured, and you don't want to substitute them, you can play with 10 players. (You only get 3 subs so if someone can play again in 3 minutes it would be a waste of a sub). Also, if someone gets two yellows (equalling a red card), you lose a player. Any red card and you lose a player from your team, making you have one less player for the match. Hope that answers your question.

The field of view DIMS as you go to a higher power -- here's a basic explanation: Each time you increase the "power" of a microscope, you are looking at a smaller and smaller area. The LIGHT from this area gets evenly divided across your entire field of view -- so you are actually seeing less area and therefore, less light in your field of view.

Can an assistant referee issue a yellow card?

A yellow card is shown when a player is cautioned in a match. A player or substitute receiving two cautions in the same match is sent off, which is signaled by showing the player a red card. A player that is sent off may not be replaced (i.e., his team must "play short").
