∙ 9y agoThe RMS Olympic was a Royal Mail ship that was first part of the White Star Line. it was in commission for 24 years from 1911 until 1935. It was then retired and scrapped at Southampton, England.

∙ 13y agoYes, it was constructed and launched before the Titanic, as it was the first ship of the three to be made, hence the Olympic class. She was launched on 20th December 1910 and her maiden voyage was on 14th June 1911. Interestingly, aside from a few accidents (collision with HMS Hawke, the 1912 "mutiny", The HMS Audacious incident and the collision with Nantucket Lightship LV-117), the Olypmic survived, unlike her ill fated sisters, until her scrappage in 1937.
